Inspiring News from Glad Tidings India

Recently, a Glad Tidings board member went to India and while there, interviewed several partners working among the unreached people. He shared the following information.

A ministry leader in Maharastra felt led to go into an area notorious for attacks by radical Hindus on Christians. Previous evangelists who'd traveled to the region had been beaten. Because of that, evangelists have since avoided the area. This leader's own pastor tried to persuade him not to go, but he responded, "During my former sinful life, I could have been killed several times due to my foolishness. God spared me. I would now count it a privilege to die for taking the Word of God to this area."

After one year of conducting Bible literacy classes in 15 villages, this evangelist has averaged 6-8 new converts to Christ in each village. Eight have been baptized.

He asks for our prayers. There is still much persecution and harassment.

This is the sort of work that we support through our financial commitment to Glad Tidings and via the pastors that have been trained and deployed as a result of our contributions. The latest trimester report from one of our many church plants contained the very good news that another 25 people have committed their souls to Christ and a total of 43 are regularly attending Bible study and worship.
